Auto Start / Stop Issue
Hi,
Just purchased base 2019 Cayenne 3 days ago and seeing an issue with the auto start/stop that it only lasts for about 10 sec and it automatic turns on.
Has anyone seen this?
Should I bring it to service center?

I see that in my 2019 base Cayenne, but I only see it when I'm using AC at higher speeds. Don't know why it happens but maybe it has to do with the battery charge and the car trying to avoid the battery going below certain voltage ? Let us know if you take it to the dealer.
By the way, this is the previous model manual and you can get a couple of ideas of when could start stop with with limited functionality

if you program it to the individual mode..... don't you still need to tough the individual button each time you start the car OR does it stay off like past models? That would free up the button on the steering wheel if it just stays off

So the new Cayenne doesn't allow you to permanently turn off the auto-start/stop function? The 2018 Macan still allows permanent turn-off, but I don't know what the 2019 Macan will have.

That was the case for the 958 Cayennes too. The new redesign models from 2017 one won't be able to turn it off permanently. Has to turned off every time you start the car or programmed in IND mode to turn off when selected.

Auto Stop/Start
I've had my 2019 Cayenne for about 2 weeks now, and the way Porsche implemented auto stop/start (killing the engine before the car is fully stopped) is driving me crazy. I could find no way to turn off auto stop/start "permanently." Assigning the function to the diamond button on the steering wheel works well, but it uses up the button. To avoid this, I put a virtual auto stop/start button on the PCM's home screen in a small square positioned at the bottom center of the screen, where my index finger can easily touch it as I shift into drive or reverse. It can also be put on the widget screen, but I haven't found that to be necessary.

If the car has PASM it has an "Individual" button on the console which sets up the driving dynamics. Auto Start/stop can be added there. The Individual button would still have to be selected at startup, so it's not permanent, but it frees up the diamond button.

That's a great bit of advice if it holds true. I'll plan on pressing that button as I idle down the driveway every morning. You never know when some punk kid on a hoverboard will want to race!

This is frustrating. In my BMW F80, one can deactivate this once and forget about it. For a company that builds sport cars, not sure why Porsche does not implement it this way..
Does the Sport Chrono package remember the last selected mode?
I don't plan for getting this package but it can remember the last selected mode (after the engine is shut off), maybe it is worth while just so I can deactivate the auto start-off for good).

This is frustrating to me and I hope we'll get an update to solve this issue.
