GTS thoughts
Now with the Panamera GTS being announce with the 4.0 V8 twin turbo what's the odds the Cayenne GTS will get the same engine? The 2 do share the same engines.

With a tune that motor goes to >650hp.

Good question...2021 model year? That works for me as I doubt I will be looking to replace the current CGTS until 2021 or later. If they do put the 4.0 in the GTS, which I suspect is highly probable, that means the 958.2 GTS would be the only model with a V6. Must have been a stop gap while the 4.0 was developed. While I don't have any issue with the 2016 GTS I have, a modern V8 would be nice.

Sheesh 2021, that’s a while. Worth the wait if it is a v8

More than a S and less than a Turbo.
My guess is pretty much in line with all of the other GTS models. They are generally a better deal than taking an S and adding the options. Also to make a Turbo look like a GTS you would have to load up on options. We've had two GTS (cayenne and Macan) because it was a great compromise. You do give up some HP and Tq compared with the Turbo.

Not sure if I agree with you entirely. The Nissan GTR and new Ford GT are powered by some serious kick-butt V6 engines that do not “suck.” Last time I checked, 650 horsepower > 550 horsepower in the Cayenne Turbo we have on order.
That being said, I prefer V8s as a general rule. Our Chevy is powered by a free-revving torquey bitch of a 6.2L small block. But the V8 is a dying breed due to increased fuel economy and emissions restrictions. Enjoy them while you can.

The Acura NSX and Ford GT have been general sales failures. Nissan makes a lot of power for sure.

Just never met a V6 that I liked. V8s are smoother, torquier and sound way better. I think you made the right choice with the turbo and sport exhaust. I just cannot justify the $$ Porsche wants for this car at that level of trim. I would probably just get the Urus at that price.
