The bolts appear to be almost custom dimensions - so my WAG - they are made by or for the manufacturer of the camshaft adjuster.
The PET image you're showing is also a bit wrong - it's for the V6 engine. Notice the heads only have 3 spark plug holes? And 3 intake ports. And 3 sets of lobes on the camshafts?
Correct, these are some of the things that we have to consider when they are making these cross-use pages in the PET system, however you can see by confirmation of the vehicle that we are on point with these items.
We are in the works with one the aerospace manufacturing companies to see if we can have these made in a titanium alloy or something with a bit more strength while being able to handle the proper heat generated in that compartment.
Update: PORSCHE field rep. Kerry West has been in contact today, here is the latest reply:
"I have them looking in the Cylinders with a Boroscope to see what additional damage might be? When we know the extent of the damage, we can then see what assistance we can offer you. Thanks"

As promised, here is an other update, this information just became available today. So pretty much this is PORSCHE's update on replacing the failed sprockets, meaning that if there wasn't an issue with the original design then why would 8 x .95 cent parts now be costing the owners or consumers the price difference of almost $1,400 in upgrade parts?
I mean why would the owners have to foot the bill for a defective item it it was good enough to supersede to a new and better made one?
As promised, here is an other update, this information just became available today. I suspect Porsche doesn't trust the simple replacement of the bolts by their technicians. I agree - if the old bolts can be removed reliably (which I'd question since I can't get the ones out of my old adjusters with them sitting on a workbench) then just replacing them might be an alternative. BMW apparently did this - sent out bolt kits instead of replacement adjusters.

Yes, it is all new here, I'm also working on a replacement kit that we can have manufactured for this specific item, I will keep you posted on this.
Porsche still at the dealership, no real information other than I was able to get a loaner now... here is a photo of how she sits motor out of the Cayenne, transmission, drive-train and all.
I own a 2011. Bolts have not failed yet. I'm still under CPO. Can I file with the NHTSA/DOT?
I did after I had mine changed at my expense. I told them why I had them changed and pointed them to some threads explaining the issue. I was later contact by NHTSA-DOT and asked for some help clarifying the problem - which was "Under Investigation" for a possible action by them.
Well here is the update, I spoke with Scott (a service writer) who has been in charge of my Cayenne the whole time it has been there.
He called to tell me that the vehicle should be ready next week (meaning this week) since the call came in last week. I asked what the deal was since I was promised a call from Terry after the heads were removed in order to determine what if anything Porsche would be willing to do for me in this case.
I was told that I would probably only have to pay for the authorized tear-down and the tow fee...
Here is the back-up motor I purchased, it has around 20K miles on it, it was ready to install had PORSCHE had not made good on this effort, now I shall put her up for sale, but I will confirm the final details once I have them.

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2010-2012 Panamera S, Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo vehicles, 2011-2012 Panamera and Panamera 4 vehicles, and 2011 Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo vehicles. The affected vehicles have camshaft controllers that may come loose inside the engine, potentially resulting in an engine stall.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fastening screws for the camshaft adjusters, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AH08.
