2015 Cayenne Hybrid Towing
I am guessing the answer is "nothing" but I wanted to at least ask before I write off this SUV. Does anyone know if the 2015 Cayenne Hybrid can be installed with a tow hitch to pull a boat? They leave the Hybrid off of the towing list and you can't add the tow hitch, so I am guessing I know the answer, but it would be a shame! I won't do it often, but it would really help if it could.

I ordered a SeH last week with factory electrically retractable tow hook !

Its not available with a hitch in the US as far as I know.
I pick mine up on Tuesday and that is one option I wish I could have added. But was not a deal breaker for me.

bump.
Has anyone come up with a way to install a tow hitch on the Cayenne S eHybrid? I went to test drive one this weekend and planned to buy, only to learn that dealer says they can't install a hitch. They recommended I look for after market hitches. Any ideas?

Does anyone have an update on this?
Went to a dealership on Saturday and the sales guy confirmed what we already know that there is no factory option for a tow hitch in North America for the S E-hybrid, even though it's available in Europe. He also said that putting on an after market one would void the warranty.
However, on the standard feature sheet for the SEH it says:
"Preparation for towbar system: wiring loom installed for easy retrofitting of standard towbar assembly with manually detachable towball"
I pointed this out to the sales guy and he said he would get in touch with Porsche Canada to find out more.
In the meantime I'd be interested in hearing what other SEH owners have done. Have you done aftermarket installs? How expensive was it? How does it look? Where did you get the parts? Did you get Porsche to do the wiring for you?
Interestingly, as we're cross-shopping right now, the X5 E40 (which also has the battery in the trunk) has the same problem - no factory hitch. However, they have no issue with recommending aftermarket options. A cutout of the bumper cover is required.
On the XC90 T8, you can factory order a hitch (battery not in the trunk), but they still need to do the cutout.

So, the sales guy at the dealership got the following reply from Porsche Canada:
"Confirmed that the tow preparation is not standard on the S E-Hybrid models.
We have updated the car configuration, changes should be live within the next few hours.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention."
Now trying to find out if there's any warranty implications of mounting an aftermarket hitch. Might have to do it without the wiring, so it could only be used for a bike rack and not for towing.

Any more discoveries regarding a towbar on a S E-Hybrid? I just bought a 2016 SEH and would love to put a receiver on it so I can mount a bike rack and trailer hitch luggage rack. It is CPO until 2021, so I don't want to mess up that warranty!

I just found this comment on the factory retrofit kit sold by Suncoastpart.com
Not compatible with Cayenne Hybrid models.

Who installed an aftermarket tow hitch on a SEH?
