Default Delay in Delivery of 2017 Cayennes and Macans

Does anyone have a 2017 Macan or Cayenne on order? I am being told my custom-ordered 2017 will probably be arriving in Jacksonville, Florida this weekend and it and all the Porsche SUV’s are being shipped without the CDM system. I am being told that, in Jacksonville for instance, the replacement part for all these vehicles will be sent to Jacksonville, Florida August 29. Supposedly, cars on order will be completed before unordered cars. Supposedly, the factory manufacturing these parts either had a fire or experienced an earthquake. I do not have a firm delivery date for my car at the present time.

I ordered my 2017 model Cayenne Platinum edition in the middle of May. It was scheduled to be built in week 31. That means I will have it in week 32/33.

My Porsche Sales guy did tell me about the problems, but said I was one of the first to have no problems with the deliverability issues for the new PCM.

Hope it all works out fast for you!

Default Cayenne delay in delivery

If your car is being completed in week 31don't think you can get it that quickly unless you are getting European delivery or perhaps you are picking it up in Halifax.

Yeah I'm based in Amsterdam.

Actually my last cayenne (2015) arrived just 1 week after the build-date.
Unfortunately that cayenne I had to let go due to an accident involving a taxi driver taking a red light.

Hey guys, the delays are due to the parts being manufactured in Japan and the factory being damaged from the earthquake that they experienced.
We have not heard about any good ETA's thus far..

Went to my dealer today to double check I get the car in a few weeks time.

He said all cars manufactured after week 30 have no issues at all. Mine is in week 31, so there is no delay for me.

I am guessing Porsche gets a new batch of PCM's in week 29/30.
