Default 2014 Cayenne Dash Clock Needle Fell Out

Just noticed that the second hand needle fell out on our 2014 cayenne with only 4k miles.

Is this a common problem?? anyone else experience this??

That's what the service adviser said. Part is on order.

Anyone know if the replacement clock's design is updated to address this issue? Or it's going to happen again?

I did a quick search on "needle second hand" issue or problem, and came up empty...

Can someone post the RL thread links for discussion on this happening repeatedly to other Cayenne owners?? TIA.

While I was perusing other threads looking for this,... I stumbled upon this link from back in 2013...
HEY, THIS GTS Looks EXACTLY like my CTT,... right down to the blacked out rear LED tail lights, AND headlights,... white w/ black roof rails & black window trim,... the aero pkg, and even the GTS rear spoiler!!
God I love this vehicle...

It's worth a re-watch even if you've seen it before....

I know there were clock issues with the 12s and 13s (including the hand falling off), but I thought they got that all resolved.

My dealer installed a Sport Chrono (just acts as a clock) in my 13 as the analog clock was so hard to come by back then due to the problems. Mine was replaced for being obnoxiously loud.

2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Test Drive & Review - YouTube
I searched and nothing came up about the needle/pointer. I saw a few regarding the clock not working.

I found a few posts about the 12 and 13s. Thought Porsche would've came up with a solution by now.
I think I saw your post on a different forum. I read another paid $85 to flash the pcm to get the sport chrono working.

Probably. I can't keep my mouth shut

Yeah I've read that too, but I've had 3 different dealers tell me they couldn't do it.

Bought a brand new Cayenne Turbo 2 weeks back and the hour needle doesn't work. First I thought may be the digital and analog clocks were showing two different time zones. Took it to the dealership and they said it's very common. They already ordered the Sports Chrono Clock. Hope it won't happen again .

When I took delivery of my 2013 it had Sami issue with second hand. Replaced under warranty. New clock has been ok for a year and is much quieter

I had exactly the same issue on my 2014, about a year ago. Replaced with new unit, no problems since.

Default Same problem

I just looked over at it the other day and realized something was wrong, second hand fell off just like the one in the picture.

Will call this week and get it replaced.

Got the Chrono Clock replaced with a brand new one but when I went to pick up the car the digital clock was working fine but the bottom analog clock didn't work (i.e. it didn't/doesn't show the time). It only moves when sports chrono is turned on. I pointed that out to the service rep and he was telling me - this is how it's supposed to work, time is only displayed on the digital clock not on the bottom analog clock which isn't true because before the minute needle was working fine and just the hour needle didn't. He kept telling me that it's a new clock and that's how these clocks work. I asked my sales rep that sold me the car to check other cars and he came back confirming that bottom analog clock displays time along with the digital clock in other cars so either the new clock they replaced is broken or they didn't properly connect it or set-up.

The dealership is ordering another clock.
