2016 cayenne s manual parking brake override
I purchased a 2017 cayenne s that was involved in a accident that deployed the airbags. It also blew the main battery fuse module which has enabled the parking brake. How does one go about manually disabling the electric parking brake correctly? It is nice that there is an override for the shifter , but can’t seem to come up with a solution for the brake. I would like to be able to roll the car around and get it on and off the frame rack without dollies.thanks in advance for help.

In your case - since you're a shop - you will need to replace the pyrotechnic fuse module before selling the vehicle. In the meantime, some jumper cables across the fuseable link would probably release the parking brake.

I don't know if there is one. Since you have a body shop - it wouldn't be difficult for a body shop (I'm not suggesting you do this) to cut a piece of steel and drill two holes in it would it? I'd suggest looking at the pyrotechnic link. And I'd certainly hope the link or module is replaced with a good one before the car gets on the road.

Probably would be safer to find a manual way to do this instead of replacing the fusible link with something that isn’t a fuse, especially since there may be some compromised wires that will be repaired when the car is fixed.
