Airbag Passenger Side-Airbag Pressure Sensor Fault
Hi, Just had my airbag light come on, and scanned for the error. Comes up with B10361 Passenger Side-Airbag Pressure Sensor - Open Circuit Connection X120. I've seen some other posts with reference to pre 2010 Cayenne's having a connector problem under the passenger seat I believe it was, but am wondering where I should look first. Happy to pull the passenger seat and take a look, but looking for any advice.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Skip,
You've posted this in the Cayenne section that covers from 2011 to present Cayennes. What year is your Cayenne? If it's pre-2011, then you might want to post the question in the 955/957 forum.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Mine is a 2011, so posted correctly I think. I was commenting that I'd seen earlier generations with airbag connecctor issues (Gen 1 or 2 I believe it was). Stopped by at the dealer yesterday to ask, and there are no TSBs nor recalls on mine for airbag issues. Tech said it could be corrosion at the connector at the base of the door pillar and to check there first. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Trying to figure out what the X120 refers to also (the A pillar door connector perhaps)?
Thanks for the reply.

Did some further research based on the Porsche tech's recommendation. No corrosion, however two broken wires (red and green) at connector X120 based on my service manual is the Front Passenger Door Pressure Sensor, which is the error I have. The break is in the boot in the door hinge area, so will have to try to figure out how to repair it further in the door, and put new wiring (18 gauge I think it is?) from a repair point inside the door directly to the connector so as to reduce the risk of reoccurrence in the near term. Am enclosing a couple of pictures of the broken wires. Of interest is that there is also a black wire within the black sheath where the red and green wire emanate from but it has no extension that goes to the connector itself, wondering if anyone knows what or why that might be? Thanks again.

Thanks for getting back to us with your findings - hope to see a few photos of the repair also. Really an odd one - first time I've heard of this happening, but if the Porsche tech suggested it - it's likely happened before.

Sorry, no pics. Removed the inner door panel followed by the main speaker. This provided enough space to carefully pull the wiring harness back through the door and reach the broken portion. Two new wires from the A-pillar door connector into the area behind the main speaker followed by reconnecting. Clear codes - problem solved. Of note, I did a full wiring harness repair on my wife's 2007 VW Rabbit for same issues, although more broken wires. Was easier to replace the harness, but had to pull both the inner panel and the door skin off for that.

Burning Brakes
I got an airbag light error a few days ago. The light comes on about a minute after I start the engine. Tried clearing the code (B102407) but came right back.
I wanted to check if anyone else has seen this before I dig into it.
Skip, which rubber boot is that in your pic?

It's the boot in the passenger front door at the base of the A pillar. It's odd n the sense that most of this problem as on my car, happen due to high use on the driver side. That's what happened on my wife's Rabbit. Your code is different with a different explanation though. I think the force sensor is on the door panel itself behind the main trim. Not sure on belt wording though.
