Cayenne 958.1 to 958.2 facelift project (front only)
Anyone tried facelifting the Cayenne 958.1 (2010-2014) to 958.2 model (2015-2018) ? I know that guys have successfully facelifted the rear (I'm actually in the proces of doing rear FL - starting tomorrow), but what about the front end of the car ? Is it doable ?

It certainly will be a much more difficoult project, as you have to replace the front lights, bumper, bonnet and front fenders. I can buy a complete front end of the 2016 Cayenne (with LEDs!) for ~ $6500 in the same color as my car (no painting necessary - at least in theory, as my 2011 white may be a bit different than 2016 white).
As I would be able to sell off my original pre-face lift parts for ~$4500, we are talking about a total investment of $2000 + labor (thankfully cheap in Poland).

Not at all. I have facelifted my 2010 Audi S5 and 2010 Audi Q5 in the past - I had ZERO problems with selling off the old parts on ebay.
Imagine you have a car in same color, and you need a new front end due to some small collision - getting used parts in top condition would be both cheaper AND you would still end up with the panels with a factory paint on them (very important to some people).
I have posted detailed pic of my S5 project on the Audi forum:

My intention is doing the same wth wife's Cayenne now.

I had a small front collision of my car - I need a new bumper and hood, so decided to give the project a go.
I've seen pictures from a member from Malasia, who did it, so it is definately doable.
There are two problems with this project:
1. You need to change 8 metal parts under the hood, that support the new style hood and fenders (8 parts in total). Some cutting and welding is necessary, which makes this a MAJOR project.
2. The guy in Malasia that did the project, was unable to make the AFS feature and high beams work on his car.
A work around for the #2 would be just to use the facelifted xenon headlights vs the cool looking full LED.
I decided to start with buying the LED headlights and trying to make them work, before I order any parts.

No, that is the paint from a red Alfa Romeo 146 that I have rear ended.
The Alfa ended up beeing 10 inches shorter. The Porsche ... well, you can see
