Default New 2016 cayenne diesel

What are your thoughts on a new under 100 mile 2016 diesel? What discount? My wife has a base 2017 platinum edition which is nice. But would like a diesel for a commuter. Would have full new warranty plus additional two years.

Thoughts?

Thoughts are - you'll get better answers in the forum where diesel owners hang out, so I'm moving your posting to the 958 subforum.. hang on..

Local dealer here knocked $6,000 off of list and you have the 6 year warranty....supposedly unlimited miles. If I had the cash right now, I'd do it.

I bought a 2015 CD on Rennlist exactly a year ago. It had 2600 miles on it. I have put 10,000 miles on it and it has been a blast. I did 320 miles yesterday in the mountains between here and the Buffalo River and back. I averaged 33.5mpg and about 65 mph with lots of elevation change. I have 400 miles range left, according to the computer. I got a much better deal than the dealer is offering you for a comparably (two year) old car, roughly $12,000 off and I have the fix money to follow if I want it. I have not done the fix and I don't really need to do it yet. Now that the fix is known, the spread is narrower because there is more demand this year, I guess. It is a great car.

The diesel is cheaper now, but you will also let go of it for less. It's also less future proof.

I was looking at new Cayenne Diesels (model year 2016). Dealers were offering 17%-20% off. Ended up getting a CPO service loaner for 40% off.

Ended up with 2016 with 2k miles for $13k off sticker. Defiantly drives better than my wife’s 2017 platinum edition base.

Dealer in WA that had them offered 15% off and stuck there. Lowered trade value of my 2015 S significantly because of the 21's ("hard sell in the NW" they said). The CD they wanted to sell me had the exact same 21 inch wheels. When I pointed this out and asked for a similar "hard sell in the NW" discount they declined. I hate dealers.......

I picked up a 2015 CD with 18,000 miles for $54k with the unlimited bumper to bumper warranty through May of 2023.
Fairly well equipped at 75k sticker.

Is this a Douglas DeMuro viewer I detect?

Just purchased a new '16 with a $76,600 msrp for $62,000. Have had several Porsche GT cars but it's my first Cayenne. So far (40 miles), I love it. Super comfy, solid low end torque and has six years, unlimited mile warranty. Happy.

Where are you located and what dealer did you buy from? What was their starting price? Congratulations

I take it that was the one at Porsche Fresno? Last one in the country I thought. Nice car. I almost bit on it. Ended up going local CPO with low miles(I'm in Los Angeles)

It was the Fresno one. I believe they were at $65k. I liked the fact that it was new.
