How to lower exhaust noise on my S?
As some of you know I recently installed a new muffler system which sounds really nice with my Fabspeed bypass pipes but the issue I’m having is it’s a little too loud for my taste and I want to take away some of the sound especially when on the highway.
Higher RPMs it sounds to over the top I want to cut back a little on the sound.
what can I do? I was looking at (2) Vibrant Ultra quiet Resontors 2.5” I’m not sure if that’s the way to go but I want to reduce the sound outside to be more discreet and not sure resonators are the right part to be looking for.
what can I do to help lower the sound on the highway?

How about reinstalling the secondary cats and just keeping the muffler upgrade. Might knock down just enough sound to get you where you want and you can certainly find a buyer for the cat bypass pipes. If you no longer have your secondary cats, I have the pair from my Turbo S on shelf with 28,000 miles on them I'd we willing to sell.

I welded a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator in my e30 after the engine swap. I swapped in an engine from an M3 and went full custom and wanted every last hp I could. Droned too much on the highway, to the point I hated it!! The Vibrant resonator took care of all that, now it sounds perfect!
But i'm with Petza, try reinstalling your secondary cats first?!
