From what I've read, you should be good in Kali or anywhere else, since there are no O2 sensors south of the secondaries...that last set of cats is for sound and smell, again, according to my research. I'm sure Fabspeed will chime in soon to confirm.

OBDII check will pass as there are no O2s that far downstream therefore no CEL. The issue becomes the visual check - my suggestion would be to find a shop that is more performance-friendly

Thanks, I just wanted to check.

I have hi flow secondary cats custom made by Hank at this shop in Colorado. LOVE the sound! My GTS now roars but zero drone, and if I don't hit the sport button, still business use and neighbor friendly.
No affiliation but HIGHLY recommend. BEST mod for the car.

I’m actually going to work with a buddy to develope high flow main cats and a x-pipe to replace the stock H pipe section for the S model which I believe crosses over to the turbo and GTS.

In the videos even without Sport Mode it sounded pretty loud, as in louder than stock with Sport on. I have a 2009 GTS and this mode looks awesome and the sound seems amazing. My only concerns are drone and with Sport mode off being too loud. Oh decisions decisions!

Did you get the HHR bypass with or without resonators? I'm considering the former since our '14 S is the wife's DD; it cannot, therefore, be too terribly loud at idle or have any hint of drone. I've been drooling over the shots on Hank's site for the last couple of weeks...his parts aren't cheap but they are gorgeous!

Have installed HHR 2nd cat bypass with resonator on a '14 CTTS. My thoughts: Sound at startup and idle is where I notice the difference the most. More of a deeper, bass enhanced rumble. Neighbors have commented (positively) on it. At anything above about 5-10 mph, there's no difference IMO. No drone. No emissions testing in my locale so can't attest to that. Have not dyno'ed the buggy before/after; no noticeable difference to me.

I bought them used for about $300 and paid $100 labor to have them installed. Could be a DIY project but, from what I'm told, one of the flange bolts on the passenger side is a royal PITA.

The build quality seems superb and I'm happy with it but, TBH I'm not sure I'd pay full retail for them ($7-800 IIRC). FWIW, the guy who sold them to me was going to do a complete exhaust upgrade to get the more aggressive sound he was wanting.

OK, thanks for the reply...wow, what a screaming deal, too! Good point about paying full retail; after all, it's not my DD we're talking about! I wouldn't be able to reap the benefits as often since the wife drives our little girl around in it most of the time. It's also good to know about the stubborn flange bolt...those are the things that drive me crazy on supposedly DIY mods.
