My 2014 CD does not automatically switch from backup camera to maps/nav when I shift from "R" reverse to "D" drive. It continues to show back-up camera while driving forward.
I have to press maps button or some other button like tuner etc.

Is there an option that I can make to correct this issue so that when I shift from R to D, PCM automatically shows maps/nav?

I think it's normal, it should switch the backup camera off after some seconds or after you reach some speed going forward.

mine has a delay in switching and I have actually gotten to the point that I really like it that way!

My 2014 CD is staying with backup camera all the time. No switching unless done manually.

Mine switches when I reach a certain speed (I think) or after a set delay, what happens if you are stationary and move the gear selector from P -> R -> P without moving anywhere?

Start:P> Rear view on (please check surroundings)
R > Rear view stay on
back to P> Rear view still on.

I drove 60 miles both highway and local roads but still stayed on rear view camera.
Is there a setting I need to change to switch from rear view to maps automatically when I shift gears from R > D

So be aware that I'm really new to this too but also have a 2014 CS.
Mine only switches to display the backup camera when I move the selector to R, I can't find a setting that makes the PCM display the reverse camera all the time so a few more questions that might help others with more experience diagnose the problem:
1) Has it always done this (or at least as long as you've had the car)?
2) Are you having any electrical problems?
3) Is the PCM doing anything else unusual?
4) How old is your battery?
5) Do you have any stored codes displayed if you plug in an ODBII reader?

Closing the rear view camera display

The rear view camera display is closed again as soon as you
– disengage reverse gear (after 30 seconds or a speed > 10 mph),
– press one of the main menu buttons,
– press the Back button ,
– operate the electric parking brake, or
– bring the PDK selector lever into the P position.

955 had a PCM reset trick - "With the car started or ignition on and the PCM off push and hold the numbers keys 1, 4, & 8." not sure if it will work on 958 - but give it a try

^^^ Thank you for the note. 2014 CD PCM doesn't have any numbered keys 1,2,3 etc. as they did before.
Appreciate if anyone can post how to reset 2014 CD PCM.

There is no setting to change. Something is goofy. Have the dealer check it out.
