Rear ABS/Wheel Sensor failure

Rear ABS/Wheel Sensor failure
Was on the highway and got 5 or 6 warning screens. ABS, Parking break, PSM, 4wheel drive etc failures. Bought a icarsoft por2 and found rear left wheel sensor failure. I cannot seem to find anything about this anywhere. Seems noone sells them, no articles on failures etc. Looking at stuff for the old body style it looks like they get dirty and you just clean them more often than not but this new one seems to be a large round sensor with no apparent bolts holding it in.
Anyone have any ideas?

How old is your battery (batteries)?

Let me Google that for you: http://bfy.tw/DMAO
Looks like there are MANY sources for it - ranging from $40-100. All 4 of them are the same. The bolt holding it in is Part #21. It's $0.29. Just in case you were wondering.

BTW - Petza's question on the battery (there is only 1 in a 958 - unless it's a hybrid) is a good one. A failing battery can cause multiple spurious error messages.
The other thing that can cause lots of error messages is corroded wiring in one of the front footwells. Both sides are prone to this - but the right side is the site of most failures since it has the AC drain to add to the flooding probabilities (it's not IF it will flood - it's WHEN it floods..) You might pull up the little door thingie in the carpet on that side (it's an access point for the stamped body VIN#) and poke a finger in and see if it's wet or damp. If so - it's time to pull the carpeting up and start looking at the big bundle of wires that passes through the footwell. Porsche brilliantly put some splices and connections in the bundle - that get wet - and electricity/water/copper do the rest. Weird electrical failures can often be tracked down to that bundle, or the bundle on the drivers side.
You might read up on how to avoid this - there are a few worthwhile threads on it.

Found your thread so I won't create another one. Only wished you'd updated this information regarding your repair. I'm experiencing the same issue. I've ordered a new sensor so it will arrive soon. Here is what I found using my Launch scanner(s).

Identical symptoms on my 2011 S. However, vehicle in limp mode - can only go forward at idle speed, any faster and PSM light flashes and no response to throttle with awful clunking noise. Drove almost 120 miles earlier on the highway with no issues. My scanner indicated Rear Left Speed Sensor failure (01220B) in prior scan. I have one on order, hopefully this will solve the problem. Surprising if only a speed sensor issue can cripple the car.

Update...fixed until...
I replaced the rear left speed sensor and all was well until the next day. While running some errands the dashboard lit up again. It still continued to run/ drive as normal until I shut it off. Back in limp home mode, but thanks to a tip from this site, holding down the traction control button restored normal operation. A scan now said the RIGHT rear sensor was bad! Another one ordered...maybe I should replace all of them?

Thanks. Replaced the ABS sensor on my rear right wheel and fixed the problem. I ordered a set of 4 from Aliexpress for $45 delivered. Porsche quoted over $300 for one! Used an M14 'triple Square bit to remove the brake caliper. Didnt have to use my diagnostic tool as all codes cleared straight away. Overall easy job. Thanks again
