Hello,

I'm currently driving a 958.2 Cayenne as a loaner while my 958.1 is in for repairs at my local Porsche dealer.
I noticed the .2 model i can close the trunk by pressing the button on the drivers door. Can this be programmed for the .1's ? This would be extremely useful.
I believe their is a module that does it for the key fob for a .1 however i would like to have the ability of using both. Key fob & drivers door button for trunk closing.

I'm not sure that is on all .2 models. I don't believe mine does that

I am bought the PLUSOBD DVRs&Cameras For Porsche Cayenne Camcorder Dash Cam Car DVR With 4 Windows Trunk Close Function, it work for 958.1, but you need to ask them how to install and make sure they send the right adapter for your car.

Be aware that some of the modules that work with the liftgate connection may have problems if you also have keyless entry. I tried one and the module and the keyless system wouldn't cooperate with each other. Essentially the add-on module was getting out of sync with the keyless system, leading to all kinds of random 'key missing' errors. Whether or not this could be overcome, I don't know. My english/chinese tech support tolerance is NOT high enough to suffer figuring it out.

Interesting. My 2014 (a .1) has this button. Press once to open. Press and hold to close.

I also have Entry and Drive - I wonder if that's part of the package? I figured all 958's had this button.

My 14 was a .1 and my 16 is a .2 both had entry and drive and they both worked this way.

If you're in Park. No closing it if you're just stopped in gear.

I just wish the danged key button would do the the same thing...
