Question 13 Cayenne base - Valve cover and gasket dealer price

Hi all, I dropped off my cayenne at Hennesy Porsche in Atlanta for its 60k service + Spark plugs from 40k(No records of the first owner doing this). They called me saying that there was a small leak on the valve cover and gasket (I'm a noob to this so correct me if I'm wrong) and said it is good to be done given that I'm doing spark plugs as well. The leak could affect the new spark plugs by oil getting in it according to them.

What is bothering me a bit is the fact that they are charging me $1600 bucks to do that service. Is this a fair price for this sorta thing?

Thanks in advance for any insights into this

On that motor, a valve cover gasket replacement should be a breeze, but admittedly i havent done it.

As for the costs, im not too surprised. Assuming the part costs 200 (generous), thats roughly 7 hours of labor, which is total bs. Have you considered a decent indy or even a vw specialist? They will be most familiar
