Hi,
A hint - it's better if you describe at least a bit what you're asking about in the subject of the post. That attracts people to the thread.
Taking the cover off is a PITA. Fiddly bits have to be removed.
Might I ask what you're looking for under the cover?
And you might consider AllDataDIY - for the car if you're doing anything serious. It's the factory manual made usable. And a yearly subscription is cheap, and even cheaper if you Google for a discount code.

Removing Engine cover 2016 Cayenne Turbo
Thanks for reply. I’m planning to change spark plugs. I have subscription to PIWIS and use it a lot to work on my cars but unfortunately they do not have a WM on this initial and basic task. Sorry about thread, but this 1st time I have used site.

Thanks. When I search that WM108319, it comes up “ unavailable “. I’ve tried repeatedly . Were you actually able to get it ? I must be doing something wrong.

The docs call for a 'swivel socket' part# 721 982 40 and a torx bit part# 721 982 42.

I'd imagine the torx bit is generic, but a close-quarters torx swivel?

The biggest problem I had was getting to cylinder 4's plug (starboard side rear) - really needed a double-swivel for that one.

removing engine cover 2016 Cayenne Turbo
1st remove peripheral plastic engine cover. remove front plastic 1st .. sort of bend it side to side to get it in and out... then remove torque support bar M10 screw and nut ( when reinstalling, I replaced with new as suggested in manual, tighten to 20Nm (15 ftlb. + 180 degrees)... when removing fastening screws on cover, T30 works fine. To get to screws near firewall I taped a T30 into 1/4" wrench just to make my own low profile instrument. Like a moron, I did buy Porsche part number 9824 and 9824-2... big waste of money and didn't need. re tightening torque for cover screws is 4.4 Nm (3.3 ftlb.)

Thanks, Kalia! Just to make sure I understand: first remove all the plastic pieces surrounding the engine bay. Next, do you mean the torque dampener arm? I was going to replace this along with the spark plug service, it seems like they don't last very long. Finally, do I understand that the "beauty cover" on the engine itself is basically just held on by T30s that are all obvious to find? Are these basically just screwing into areas around the coil packs? nothing on top?
Unrelated question, but the "Turbo" badge on my engine cover is coming off / warping, I'm wondering what kind of adhesive would suitable in this high temperature environment if anyone has a suggestion.. Obviously not whatever the factory used

Yes to all your questions John212. If I remember correctly, those screws actually screw into head of screws on coil pack.
As far as adhesive for badge I personally would use some epoxy but others might have some better ideas.
