Default What type of OEM Battery?

For charging purposes what is the OEM battery on a 2012 Cayenne Turbo, AGM or conventional? I have the original battery and would like to top it off with a charger but would like like to use the correct program.

I'd bet on AGM for your vehicle.

AGM for sure. Regular old lead acid batteries vent dangerous fumes that can kill you in a confined space. AGM, not the same way...

Given that the battery resides under your driver's seat, the factory would have gone the AGM route. Can you imagine what would happen in a rollover accident if they didn't?

BTW, the AGM has a vent tube that needs to be hooked up. The vent line runs out to the undercarriage of the car somewhere if I recall correctly.

Also, AGM batteries hold their charge differently. With all the electronics in our car's you need that steady stream of stable power. Another reason why assuming it's AGM is a safe bet.

My '11 CTT had the original battery when I got it. AGM. Moll if I remember correctly.
