Headlight switch replacement
Hello - so in requesting the old service records for our new-to-us GTS, we figured out that our headlights are always on because of a faulty headlight switch, not through a PIWIS option that I originally expected.
So these switches are only $75 for a replacement part through Pelican or other source, and removal and installation is very simple....that being said my question is this:
Is it plug and play? Or do I still have to take it to a dealer to "program" the car or do something else to make the car recognize the new switch? Anyone with experience with this?

Follow up: I received the detailed service records of the car and they had diagnosed the faulty headlight switch for previous owner. They quoted about $400 to fix.
I ordered the part for $75 plus tax and shipping and removed the old one and replaced it with the new one in literally 5 minutes. Part from Byers Porsche in Ohio, great and fast service.
Turned dummy key, a couple clicks and light flashes and full headlight function returned in 2 or 3 seconds. New to us car completely sorted now! Except for dealer badge, coming off this weekend. ;>)
Not sure if this is worthy of a detailed DIY but if anyone is interested let me know. I know it's super lame but any self fix makes me happy.

Hey jpru2001
Picking up an old thread - you said it's easy to replace the headlight switch - mine is proving difficult to remove.
I've managed to turn it about 1/8th counter clockwise and it's come slightly proud of the mounting but refuses to loosen any further.
I'm cautious to force it in case I break it.
Any tips?
