40k service on 2015 CD - what am I missing?
Ok so on my first CD, I bought it right before the 40k was due. In fact my first trip to the service department with it, was for the 40k service.
Now, as I recall, it was expensive. $1800 or so. Cha-ching! I didn't ask, or question, I just had them do it. I want to say (but now this was over 2 years ago) that it included a brake fluid flush and trans service? I *do* remember they changed my wiper blades, at $80/each.
My current CD is due for it's 40k in the next few weeks so I decided to see what's all "in there", as I'm not interested in $240 worth of wiper blades this time. All I see in the owners manual for 40,000 mile service on the CD is oil change and AdBlue (the usual oil change service), a cabin filter.... and a bunch of "check" or "inspect."
Am I missing something?

I'm not sure what "Panorama roof: Adapt control module" entails... I've been idly curious about it.

So I spoke to the dealer. I started the conversation referencing that I'd reviewed the owners manual to see what was entailed in the official 40k. Their response was that they usually recommend, as a 40k service, the following:
- Oil change and AdBlue
- Cabin Filter
- Engine Air Filter
- Diesel Fuel Filter
- Tire Rotation
- Clean Body Drains
I know with past diesel pickup trucks I've owned, you generally changed the fuel filter "every other oil change." I just did a tire rotation myself not too long ago. So I gave them the OK to do the rest. Fuel filter is usually messy and it's hard to get diesel smell out of anything... and F it, do the two air filters + clean the drains too. It'll look good on the service record.
She wrote the appointment up as "partial 40k service".... whatever.

When I had my 2011 Touareg TDI, there was a procedure to prime the canister with fuel and bleed the air out with VCDS. Is there such a procedure with whatever Porsche equivalent scan tool or will cycling the key a few times basically do the same thing?

Brake flush is every 2 years. That's a pretty standard thing to ensure there's no moisture in the fluid (that does absorb moisture). I think they figure the average miles per year is 10K, so at 40, you'd be due for a flush.

I believe my s2k manual said every 3 years. Had the entire 60k service plus extras done for $100 bucks took guy 1 hour
