Pan is a fun car to drive. I had a Turbo S for a weekend when I worked at Porsche and that thing gets to 150 like nothing.. Planted too! The butt of that car just was an afterthought design wise.

Traded my 958.2 for a 970.2 Panamera TT just a few weeks ago. Got close to an even trade minus the 5K I spent on a warranty so couldn't pass it up.

I had ZERO complaints with the Cayenne, but there was something about the combination of effortless handling and absolutely brutal launches when called upon (from 2nd gear in anything but Sport Plus ) that got me hooked on the PTT. I tried for a week to convince my wife to take the Cayenne and let me trade in her Q5 instead, but she wouldn't go for it. Won't get into that...

As many have mentioned, the rear end is something only a mother could love, but it's growing on me.

The rear end looks a lot better when the wing is lifted up. I think it is ok and very 911-llike. To me it is a stretched 911.

It is eerily similar to the Tesla, not the 3. I love the flare to the rear fenders. I also love the sound at start up and on over-rev. I can get used to the PDK doing its thing.

I'm finding that the sound/Bose, is just a bit better than in my CD. Less space to fill could be the difference, acoustics, whatever. I'm loving the sedan. I can't even imagine the TT with 500+ HP. The 4S is already so sweet and nice, and has intoxicating power.

Funny you mention the Bose. That's one thing I'm a little disappointed in relative to the Cayenne. To me it sounds a bit muffled, but my PTT has one gen older Bose (2014 vs 2017).

The exhaust note is addicting, especially on cold start or the blat at downshift. Not so sure my elderly neighbors would agree when I leave for work at 6AM, but there's no way to fire it up quietly.

I usually think Bose is way overrated and produce poor to mediocre sound. However my panamera loaner that I got recently had Bose and the sound was fantastic. It blows away the 958 Bose speakers by a mile.

A lot of that has to do with speaker placement and cabin design imo. It helps having speakers placed a certain way for maximum sound effects. I think the PTT that I drove with burmester sounded the best out of any burmester system.

Bose in my Cayenne sounds really good if I am playing from my phone. If I’m playing via radio or satellite, it’s crappy.

Glad I'm not the only one to notice this. Still disappointed that my last car (a Ford Taurus SHO) held HD radio signals MUCH better than my 16 Cayenne - doesn't matter where in town I am at, or which HD radio station I'm tuned into, it tends to switch out of HD at least every few minutes, resulting in a definite crappier sound. Playing radio via bluetooth from phone sounds great. Haven't used satellite to compare.

My wife has a Pana. It is fun to drive, and it's the "butt ugly," but I actually prefer it to the new Pana, which, to me, looks like am Audi A7. The Bose in her Pana blows my 958.2 Bose away. It may be the extra speakers (one on each side of the center console), and probably a better amp. I have also driven a Panamera GTS and Turbo on the track at the Porsche Driving School on the Barber Track. I pushed both of them as hard as I could, and they handled like a 911. The Panamera is a serious automobile. For everyday driving I still prefer my 2015 CD.

So. Much. Want. For a 4S.

If I need a back seat, and don't need to tow, maybe someday.

If I only had an extra $120,000 or the salary for the loan.

That's the way I feel about a 911 GT3 Touring. If only!

I know.

It was last month, where I was looking for rental vehicles so the family could spend a week in Florida for school vacation.

While there was no Panamera offered, I can't imagine how much one would pay if one were available to rent. Having one for a full week was quite a treat.

I will miss that car.

A colleague has bought a Sport Turismo 4S in chalk color; it’s very, very nice. I’m very happy with my Macan GTS as DD and the ST can’t really replace my wife’s Cayenne SEH as family hauler as the dog’s crate doesn’t fit in the Panny ST, but it’s a car I will really consider when the time comes to replace the Macan.

As nice, like really-nice, as the 4S was, it was also just as nice getting back into my CD.

The tame power of the CD was also duly noted and I'm ok with it. Anytime I got on it, it went well enough so as to negate any more need for more power.
