Right, I unclipped the water line - but the vent tube I’m not 100%. It appears to have a white disconnect clip - gonna play around with it tomorrow

Is it a 3/4 to 1 inch hose? Like part of the pcv system? If so it is one of those pinch quick disconnects.

Well, hopefully we'll have all the bugs worked out of the "how to" by 100 pages. Lol.

Yes, I’m waiting for all the bugs to be gone, tons more pictures and all the excellent advice. Then I might take on this bear.

Yup. It is a quick disconnect. It pulls apart.

No such luck, broke one of the ends trying to disconnect it. Ended up cutting it off completely and joining with a rubber hose and gear clamp on both ends. Couldn’t get it separated when I had it out of the car either - so I guess it’s seized
New belt is on, awaiting right pump, pulley and bolts to get here so i can start buttoning it up.
only issue remaining is the ypipe for the turbo s conversion

thermostat is in the housing, secured, pump is on, pulley is on - waiting on new bolts to swap them as one is close to being stripped. Just realized the tensioner must be leaking as there’s some fluid on the new belt underneath it. Ordered that today. Ordered some wire brushes as well to attach to my drill, will be cleaning out the valves along with some gdi cleaner.
then coolant pressure/fill. Cosmo racing ignition coils, then manifold back on.

Right on. You've crested the mountain. It's all down hill now.

I think my hydraulic tensioner leaked all over my new belt - waiting on the part to arrive along with a new bolt (need 2 but it was all they had). Ordered in some wire brushes with extension - hopefully I get a chance to clean out the valves

Ok, replaced the hydraulic tensioner - that area is back together. Starting to clean the intake valves - anyone know how to rotate the engine on the cayenne? The driver side valves are open

Ok so I’m trying to fill the coolant with the schwaben tool - can you confirm you use the long V insert? I don’t seem to be keeping pressure for some odd reason (I also didn’t completely drain - does that matter?)

I used a different brand but when mine wouldn't hold vacuum it took me a minute to figure out that I forgot to close the one valve after I'd reached the correct level of vacuum. Once that was done the refill was very straightforward,

Also, here's a link which may or may not help.
