Thank you.

Is the clock supposed to continually run? For some reason I thought I read that when you open the door the clock does its dance and resyncs its self. The only time I saw it do its dance was when I plugged it in. Either way, it's working now and keeping perfect time with all of the other digital clocks in the car.

Nice. I like this. Wish I had it. Although I think I might not mind the compass either. Just to break up the main panel.

I believe the PCM has a compass on one of the screens.

Even so, I want something physical on the dash. Glad you get/found what you needed.

I forgot you don't have ANYTHING on top of the dash. I think the dash pod is classy. No matter what is in there.

And too have options for what to put in the pod is the icing on the cake. We all have different uses for our cars.

I didn't measure the opening but it would be pretty easy to add any gauge you want. Oem or not. I could see a tuner putting in an A/F gauge in there with minimal fab skills.

I had to take it apart again because the second hand must have moved the first time. Now, as soon as the second hand hits the 60 mark the minute hand ticks. It couldn't be timed more perfect. Pure luck.
That looks quite good. Unfortunately - mine isn't lined up as accurately with the minute hand tick.. wish it was, but not taking it apart to do it..

Lol. I here you about taking it apart again. The clock isn't bad at all. It's that plastic piece that holds it is what sucks. I swear it felt like it was gonna break when I was pulling up on it. As far as the second hand, I knew I was close just pure luck that it landed where it did.

The sport chrono dash clock on my M GTS will keep running for a few minutes after you turn off the ignition and exit the vehicle, then everything goes to the 12 o'clock position and rests there (sport chrono clock is a bit different in that it just has the one big sweeping second hand, and then a small clock dial and a digital readout too). As soon as you open the door the clock(s) immediately jump to the correct time and start operating again.

I did the swap yesterday with a used mecan clock off of eBay. Funny part is the compass option then disappeared from the options menu and a new chrono option menu popped up. Cool. I much prefer the clock to the compass and confirm it stays on for a bit and then goes to 12 and does a dance upon start up.

completely super easy once I found the right star driver

Cool, did you give the second hand a hair cut before you put it in?
