Default Wiper blades

Decided to try new blades since wasn't sure if dealer I got the car from actually changed the blades. Got a pair of BOSCH blades from Autozone. They clean great, so drove home.

Now checked Suncoast and the OEM are $10 cheaper. FML.... but the ones on the car were Goodyear blades and there were no OEM covers on the wipers.

Are there supposed to be covers or locks or they just sit there without anything?

What blades everyone use?

I'm not sure what you mean by "OEM covers".. and locks? The factory setup pivots on a pin on the wiper blade and locks into place on the pin. Nothing needed locking. Trivial to replace.

I can't speak as everyone - just as me - I'm using $12/pair blades from China. Found them on Alibaba or one of the Chinese trading websites. They seem absolutely fine - identical in every aspect to the Bosch blades that are stock on the vehicle (Goodyear was never an OE supplier for the Cayenne.) I bought several pair - and IIRC they arrive promptly and shipping cost was negligible. If I had to guess - they might be from the manufacturer Bosch is using to make blades, there certainly is no identifiable difference I can find.

Very cool. I'll have to look into it. I've been using RainX for past 15 years on all my other cars. They don't fit imports though. They were great on all the Chevys.

I've used Valeo blades, which were OK. I'm currently running a set of Bosch blades (I think they're the Icon's but don't really recall) and happy with them. However they do not have the aerodynamic covers that are part of the factory blades. They lock in place as they slip over the post and then are held there by the short arm when they are rotated into position.

Same here, those are the ones I just got. I've no clue what factory ones look like since I got the car about 2 weeks ago. I think the old wipers were causing a whistling noise that I noticed 2 days ago while driving around 75mph. Hope these BOSCH are better.

I use the Porsche blades from Amazon. I was influenced by stories of wiper chatter on older Cayennes and thought to stick with OEM blades and wiper fluid.

I also purchased front and rear with Bosch blades from Autozone. I'm very happy with them especially here in VA where all we get lately is rain, snow and ice! They work very well in all weather conditions.

What's the correct size for the wiper blade? Did some search, some says 26'' but it has a bit over hang, then some website ssays 24''. What's the OEM size from dealer?
