Good news! ULSD diesel will be available in Mexico.
"... Mexico started requiring ultra low sulfur diesel—with 15 parts per million sulfur—for all diesel use in that country."

Just in time for the very few cars that will actually need it.

???
"The United States started phasing in ULSD requirements for highway vehicles in 2006"
And current North American offerings require it. That is a lot of existing diesels with new diesel models coming out.
Road off-road in a new Chevy Colorado diesel nice rig, looking forward to the new diesel Defender.

Sorry for the cryptic comment. With all the car companies running scared about the "horrors" of diesel emissions, and with more electric cars planned, we will unfortunately see diesel cars phased out. Porsche Diesels- finished, Audi- ??, Jeep EcoDiesel- not yet certified...and I don't see any new MB or BMW Diesel products for sale. Sure, a few models will be added to the market, but I bet they were planned long before this hysteria hit. Trucks will take much more time, but eventually we'll see some silly and expensive alternative truck power plants. What a shame, a good turbo diesel is a treasure.
