The '13 doesn't seem to have this. Except, if you have the Adaptive Cruise Control, and let the car come to a complete stop, then it will, after creeping a couple feet, will stop and the "HOLD" light comes on. If you tap the gas, the car resumes under ACC guidance.

I think my '17 goes a step further and engages the electric parking brake if you do that. When I first got it there was a situation where I was on flat ground, had to get out to do something and when I got back in it wouldn't roll when I gave it the gas. I realized that I'd left it in Drive and was like, WTF... it won't go? I then realized the parking brake was set. Apparently it was being smarter than I was at the time. I don't make regular use of the parking brake, so there was the usual dance of 'does it push or pull to release'.

My '17 does the creeping thing... it's sensing the vehicle ahead and seems to be trying to avoid having to stop completely. It's kind of fun... will the stop and go traffic ease up.... or will we have to come to a complete stop and, dang, HOLD. Same thing, give a little gas and it resumes the ACC magic.

I can't seem to get the HOLD function to engage on my 2011 CS. I see the light come on the dash at start-up / test. Today I kept pumping the brake at a stop in traffic and mysteriously a message came up saying "Auto Stop Start disabled". I had this disabled anyway, but then the button did nothing, no light. Contrary to some other observations and other vehicles, my auto stop disable stayed in memory between trips, I don't have to deactivate it every trip. Now the button seems useless all together, which is fine with me, it's an annoying "feature" to kill your starter. I really just want the brake hold to engage at a stop like my Mercedes does. I use it all the time. Any suggestions??? I'm probably going to get the x431 Diagun and dig around in the coding.

Also easily entertained. Use Hold all the time, note that if on long enough, the parking brake will engage. Wish my wife’s 718 hold function worked the same as my ‘16 CTT

The battery is fine, no hesitation. I read in the manual today it could be because of a detected vacuum problem to the brakes, which could explain why it came on when pumping the brake.

My 2013 CD only does it on inclines. I think all of the newer models 2018+ do it on a flat or incline. I once had 2019 Panamera Gran Turismo 4S as a loaner for three months and got very used to the hold feature on the flat. Damn near crashed my CD when I finally got it back.

I have a 2011 CS, and like everyone else don't use the 'auto-stop-start' feature (and do like that the setting is retained), but the 'Hold' for me only works on an incline to keep the car from rolling backwards. I've never seen it engage on level ground

Tallies with my experience in my 2011 CD. Only on an incline.

Confirmed that HOLD only happens on an incline. A parking garage ramp was the only incline I could find around here in FL! I really wish there was a way to activate this for flat surface, like stop lights. I only found one setting related to the HOLD function with the X431 scanner, in the instrument cluster. I set it from NO to YES, but nothing seemed to change.
