Default Best braking system suggestions for 2016 GTS?

I need to get new front brake pads and rotors. I have my entire car blacked out and would love to find a reputable black rotor to use that is as good/reliable as the factory porsche ones.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Also, if I go for the factory porsche setup, can I get ceramic pads or do I need the regular ones?

If you have the large 390mm rotors that are shared with the Turbo, then OEM rotors seem to be the only option. And yes those are silver.

Should I get the ceramic brake pads along with the new factory front rotors?

There are several aftermarket brands that offer 390mm rotors at least 1/2 of OEM price.

Kenny - any links?

When I've gone looking (it's been a while now..) usually the 1/2 price ones are actually smaller rotors, mistakenly spec'd in the aftermarket as fitting the turbo/GTS. Be great to find some good sources of more reasonably priced rotors since sooner or later I'm going to need them (have about 88k miles on my current ones..)

I suggest you call them to confirm before ordering. Note that brake wear sensors are included but not shown in the description. Less than $800 CAD ($616 US) for 4 rotors and pads. Hardware like bolts and brackets are purchased elsewhere.

Stay away fro the ceramic pads.

Get a set of OEM rotors and some Pagid pads. They are what's usually on the car from the factory. Go to Gaudin or another online porsche parts site. They sell for pretty cheap. Gaudin is the second cheapest I found. There is also another one in Northern Ca that sells for a few bucks cheaper.

I always get my pads from BMA Auto parts which is local to me.

You can always paint the hat of whatever brand you get with high temp paint. We've some aftermarket rotors that are black oxide coated but that will wear off where the pad contacts it in short order.
