Hoehn Porsche announcement
This is a huge announcement!
Hoehn Porsche is once again entering their Cayenne in the Rebelle Rally. This is a rally for women only where they have to navigate in the desert with only paper maps, compass, and pencil. NO electronics of any kind allowed.
"The Rebelle Rally is the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the United States. Blending the love of driving with the ultimate challenge of precise navigation, the Rebelle tests your skills over 8 days of competition. It is not a race for speed, but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using maps, compass, and roadbook." --- https://www.rebellerally.com/

'Otis' was fortunate to spend a couple of days this summer with Emily Miller learning navigation, and getting a 'Driver Skills Day' for driving off-road. We have not entered the Rebelle but will be closely followingLisa Wolford and Sandy Conner in Hoehn's Cayenne.

During the whole eight day Rebelle the women are responsible for there vehicles. They can request help but that comes with a penalty in the standings.
They also have to navigate for eight days with just a compass, ruler, and paper map.
No electronics over more than 2,000 kilometers of off-road terrain across the Nevada and California desert.
This years Rebelle runs from 11 to 20 October -- www.rebellerally.com

Yes run both a 4x4 and Crossover class. Both have to work for it - only the women can work on the vehicles and do recovery if needed. Eight days of competitively navigating and driving in the desert without any electronic aids. They can ask for help but incur a significant penalty. This is not the first time this Cayenne has run the event. Different livery this time. -- https://www.rebellerally.com/

They have anything like this that males can enter? I'm kinda surprised something like this can actually exist, especially in California.
That's a cool pic above.

We entered the winter ALCAN 5000 rally in 2016. Picture 10 days of driving 10 to 12 hours a day thru Washington, BC, Alberta, NW Territories, Yukon, and on to Coldfoot AK before heading south. 5,500 miles of endurance TSD rally - not all the cars finished - everyone had mechanical issues. We have already entered to run this again in 2020 here is the new route http://www.alcan5000.com/pdf/2020Route.pdf
~30 have signed up already for 2020, if interested better get your name on the list prior to them starting a wait list. Here is a video of the 2016 ALCAN - Otis is at 4:08 - most stages are on snow/ice covered gravel or ice road.
