First AdBlue fill up

AdBlue fill up, now Emissions CEL, cats/EGR issues
Went to drive my wife's CD to the gym yesterday and noticed the warning on the dash. AdBlue low, range 1000 miles. Hmm, ok. We'd bought it about 5 months ago and driven ~7500 miles so I guess that's pretty good.
Went to the local parts store, bought 5 gallons of Peak DEF and a funnel. Pretty easy to fill it with the funnel. I emptied the entire first 2.5 gallon container in and maybe 1/2 gallon from the second container. You can hear the difference in "gurgle" when its getting full.
I was surprised it didn't take more tho, I was expecting to have to add both containers, so 5 gallons. Thought the tank held 5.5 gallons?

Check it again (i.e. try to add more?).. Mine was down to 650 miles remaining and took close to 5 gallons. Were you (well, the CD, not you) sitting level when you filled it?

Yep, pretty level. That tank can't burp can it? I checked the level when I filled it and it was pretty full, no way it would've taken another 2 gallons.

Sounds about the same usage as my car. Purchased my car right after the emissions mod was done. They topped of the DEF during the service. Since then, I've put 5 K on the vehicle and just changed the oil. I haven't seen the low Adblue warning yet, but went ahead and added some DEF to the tank to see what it would take. It took around 2 gallons. Between our cars, it seems like we are using one gallon of DEF for every 2.5 K miles.

So oddly enough my wife called me to say that the "add ad-blue" light came back on, along with the check engine light. CD said it had 200 miles until shut down. Um, WTF! So when she got home I was able to put another 1-1.5 gallons into the tank. The tank is no kidding totally full now. So it took ~4-4.5 gallons of fluid. I read the CEL and it was a catalytic code and a reductant flow too low code. Ended up resetting everything, all light went away, took the CD out for a few spins last night, seems to be running fine.
Don't know what to think. Guess if it comes back its off to the dealer it goes...

Oh, didn't do that. Well, I'll do that next time.
It threw a check engine light so at this point I'm just going to take it to the dealer.
Adblue light has stayed off.

Let me tell my experience with AdBlue level: After returning from vacation last year the car complained about low AdBlue even though the tank was full. The dealer performed a re-calibration of the AdBlue level sensor. Several months later the car said I had 60 miles to drive before shut down due to low AdBlue. The dealer then replaced the AdBlue sensor. They keep the sensors in stock....

So, heard from the dealer today, codes are catalytic low efficiency codes. However they have two other CD's in their shop with the same codes and they've found that the EGR's on both are totally coked with carbon. They battled with Porsche to get them to cover the first one and are in the process with Porsche on the second. They're waiting to see how that goes before they start with Porsche on mine.
They put my wife into a nice Macan loaner and the CD is under warranty, so don't really care. I know they'll fix it.

Was it a “SCR nox Pre- Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold” code?
i had that one also after an DEF fill. Talked with the dealer. Told me to clear the code, it hasn’t come back in 1000 miles.

qtro, I cleared the code a few days before and it came back.
chsu74, car is definitely under warranty and the EGR problem is covered too. Not sure why the dealer is having to deal with Porsche about it but I don't really care. That's their worry, not mine...
