Default Icarscan

I received my icarscan yesterday and will use it today on our VW to reset the service indicator. Total was $226.45, $182.00 for the unit but shipping was a lot and was 3 days from Hong Kong via DHL.

Default 830 mile range

I went and drove a Gallardo at PBIR today for 5 laps. It was a bit rough, 21K miles, lots of lights on the dash, mismatched tires, but it was fun. As we were leaving I noticed that the Sunoco pumps had diesel at $3.05 a gallon and topped off at just under half a tank. I had been driving it easy and got a range of 830 miles, tried posting a pic but have not been able too lately. Coming into Jupiter on Indiantown road, diesel was $3.35.

Thanks to this nice cool weather my MPG’s are up noticeably. 420 miles at barely under 1/2 tank, with a range of about the same. Doing some ballpark math, this could be 32 mpg’s or so. It is colder this week, and I will try some 0-60 mph runs for fun and to see if my 7.6 from the summer comes down a bit.

Default Stage 3 tune

I am researching the Malone tuning stage 3 tune that requires a bigger garret turbo. It is a Garrett GTD2263VZ for 3.0 diesels being sold by Darkside developments in the UK. Malone said they can make the tune, so I am calling Wolfsburg Tuning tomorrow out of Naples Florida which is somewhat close to me.

Is there a way to check adblue level? I can't find it in the manual.

Thanks

I looked at Porsche Connect but my car apparently doesn't have the "Connect Plus" option. Yours must. Where is the SIM card slot, in the glove box or the PCM?

Thanks

Default Here's Ours Picked Up 12/8

Mahogany with black interior. Not heavily, but adequately optioned. In service 1/19/15 with 45,000 on it now, so NC warranty until 1/19/19. then NC extension until 1/19/21 unlimited miles, CPO until 1/19/23 unlimited miles.

It looks like new. Paint and interior are great! We love it.

No. Fill with these 1/2 gallon bottles to full after oil change and monitor accordingly.

ADBLUE Diesel Emissions Fluid for SCR Code Two 1/2 gallons (2010-2013)
Amazon Amazon

Bottle comes with a locking ring on the cap. Take a serrated knife and roll against bottle cap to cut locking ring off refilling bottles.

I called Wolfsburg Tuning today and left a message, no call back as of yet. I did install the LED corner lights and will check them out tomorrow morning at 0600 on my way to work.

Default 50,000 mile oil change

Changed the oil at 49,977 miles with just about 5,000 miles on the oil. I decided to do it my self with a pump, save some money, and get an oil sample for Blackstone that I know is mine. Pump was cheap, $17.25, on eBay, oil from IDparts was $90.00 with an oil filter. Easy to do, dropped the oil off at Jiffy Lube and sample will be in the mail Monday.

I have been looking for something different than the mityvac oil extractor..

How does this electric pump work? Not too crazy about running the pump on the car battery. Maybe from a Cetek or another running car.. Did you have to prime it?
