How do you disassemble the spoiler to change the 3rd brake light?

It's part of the spoiler. Remove that and there's two screws holding the brake light into it from behind. The spoiler requires removing the inside trim, disconnecting various wires, a screw and nut at the outside edges and sliding rearward off the liftgate (with another wire to detach).

The better question is, why?
