My question is, what are the filling capacities for the front and rear diffs? I read that the front is under one liter. I read differing capacities for the rear. Some places say .8 liter for the rear while other places say 1.4 liters for the rear. I read that with the PTV you have to fill then rotate wheels to get the full 1.4 liters in? Advice please.
Where did you read to rotate the wheels?

Just drain it, then jack up the vehicle and fill it with 1.4 liters.

I can't say they all take exactly this, but my '12 Turbo took about 0.5L in front, and about 1.3L in rear.

Thanks all, I bought two liters for the rear and one for the front. I went with Porsche fluid. Where can the capacities for the differentials be found. Not in owners manual and can not find on line.

In repair info available to shops/dealerships from Porsche, of which Porsche doesn't make it available to the general public.

It is available through 2 sources: get an alldatadiy.com subscription for $30/yr (or $50 for 5yrs) or pay more for a time-based subscription from Porsche directly.

So the PTV+ Motul oil is no longer available at Pelican, any one know why? And there is no replacement.

Any one know of the alternative? OE or aftermarket is fine by me so long it’s approved to work on the 958.1 PTV+ for the Cayenne

I'm posting to this old thread to update the Porsche part number for the rear differential fluid for cars equipped with PTV+. The new part number is: 000-043-305-03.

Quick Reply: Same fluid for both front and rear differential?
