Well, another defect it seems we get to cover out of pocket. What’s the cost that I need to prepare for? :P

Low of 8* tonight but the Porsche is now back in the garage and the Lexus RC 350 F gets to sit outside and be miserable (at least I can remote start it).

Will report back after I use the car to plow out of the garage tomorrow morning and see if the suspension gives me issues. I noticed the day I got my message it was also stupid cold outside with the wind chill in the negatives and the car really didn’t warm up fully until I got to work. I haven’t had the message appear since and it’s been down to the 20s.

It took a couple hours for the work so all total cost me $329.00.

Tracy - think you could contact them and ask for the Service Bulletin number - or details on the software update? I'm surprised it's not on the invoice..

I'm surprised also as it's usually always on the invoice.

I would hate to think this but maybe all your service advisor did was to change out a fuse. They didn't want to throw a $300 bill at you for a fuse change so the advisor put in that they did a software update in addition to the fuse change. That's my non trusty mind wandering as I'm not not fan of the Porsche service center. Yes they did me dirty.

Also Tracy, repost your picture without the personal info. You don't need that on the web.

I would be inclined to believe that he actually performed the update but I do not see any TSB listed. (2012 S, from ADDIY).

I keep my subscription active so if anyone needs pages I can upload them or send them to the moderator as a zip so they can host them.

All Data DIY listing. I can zip it all up for one of the mods to update the list if they so please (or can make a dedicated thread per TSB/RC/etc in a subforum).

I put in a call to the service advisor asking about the campaign number, waiting for a call back from him. Although, it seems the question has been answered by Tryfon(thanks). I did all the simple stuff, (on/off system, pulled fuses, scanned it with my Schwaben Pro) before taking it to service. Odd tho, when I checked the fuses none were blown. Did see the low voltage in description in the scanner but really didn’t know how to interpret it.
Thank you to everyone for the input.

SummaryThere is increased friction in the air spring compressor valves at temperatures below ?13° F

(?25° C). This can result in a situation in which the maximum control current is not sufficient to actuate the valves. As a result, a warning message will be displayed in the instrument cluster and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will stop working temporarily. Re-program PASM control unit using the PIWIS Tester with software version 33.010.030 (PIWIS Tester 3) or version 17.100.030 (PIWIS Tester II) or a higher software version installed.2 Affected Products

427Cobra nailed it. This is what the tech explained to me while I was there. We are currently at a -40 degree wind chill outside. I’m still cautious about it, therefore it’s parked in the garage till Friday, when the temp supposed to reach 40 degrees. Michigan weather, lol.
