Battery Protection Activated in a 2015 CD
Admittedly it's been cold around Boston, but not as cold as lots of other places.
My CD has been living outside all winter and on Tuesday morning I got the battery protection prompt; I think the ambient temp was around 0 F.
While cranking was sluggish, the CD started. Although I probably should have driven more, drive time that day was very brief.
Later that day the alarm would not set.
On Wednesday morning the temp was around 10 F and the CD started w/o the battery protection notice.
Later that day the dealer checked for codes with PIWIS, checked and charged the battery, and concluded the CD was good to go.
I left the CD at the dealer (who is closed today because of the blizzard); tomorrow they will double check for codes.
The forecast for this weekend is colder weather with minimum temp around -10 F.
Is the battery protection activation less serious than I think it is?
Any experience with this in the diesel 958?
Thanks

Thanks, I saw that post and was hoping I might be lucky -although there's probably no reason to expect anything other than a new battery.
We'll see when it's colder tomorrow.
