It disables the servotronic boost on the steering. Much heavier and solid steering. Little harder to park, but well worth it. Really transforms the vehicle into a much more solid feeling vehicle

This is a 5A fuse on the left side of the dashboard which is accessible when you open the door. Fuse #49. I will definitely try this as the steering is way over boosted for my liking.

I have thought about trying this for a while. Just pulled the fuse and did a quick jaunt out for lunch. It definitely needs more muscle at parking lot speeds, but I agree the control at higher speeds is much better. I think I will keep it like this for a few weeks and then plug it back in to see which way I prefer. I am sure my wife will complain when she needs to drive. Are we sure this will not cause any damage? I know zilch about the servotronic system and have no desire to! haha

Finally got to try this. Much better, especially going around turns. I feel as though I can tell what the wheels are doing now.
Phatz, are you sure you removed the second fuse on the bottom from the right?

Just tried this today, very cool. But mine was the 5A fuse #47, #49 was a 10A. Reminds me of my dad's old 911 with no power steering, lot more control but requires more grunt
