Default First time back in awhile - need some advice

Hello everyone -

I need to get rid on my X5 diesel and am looking at Cayenne and Q7. With the 2018 right around the corner, I don't know what to do. It doesn't seem they're getting aggressive on 2017 pricing. So.... 2017 Cayenne, hold breathe for 2018, or Q7?

Things i value most - pretty much equally -
Space
Performance
Interior

Thanks in advance

I've heard rumors for a new Cayenne for 18 but nothing verified. I love my 2016 Cayenne Diesel and the 2015+ finally look good all the way around.

I did not need the third row or the space or siize of a Q7, but do need to tow 7,000lbs or so, so it was the Cayenne for me.

Same boat here. My current lease ends in January. Hoping for a new Cayenne but doesn't look likely. May need to drive the Q7.

Might consider one of the new / old Cayenne diesels that should be released for sale soon. Expect price to be competitive. Extended warranty and the low end diesel torque is impressive. The Q7 is to large for us.

Diesel Cayenne would have been at the top of the list. I am seeing a bunch of new 2016 diesels being released on autotrader around the country. I lease a car through my company and I doubt they are leasing these cars. Also a bit early for me to pull the trigger.

Will these Cayenne's have the potentially power sapping EPA "fix" already in place, or will you still have a choice?

From what I have heard there will be some decrease but biggest impact is the increased Add-Blue consumption. Some folks have spoke of re-flashing the ECU to original spec. No one will know for sure until the mod is released and tested. That said most are getting better MPG than what was advertised, as long as we do not get less than advertised - should not be an issue.
For going off-road we need the low end torque and range. I do not feel like the EPA mods will impact these that much.
To see what we do:
