955 Cayenne 2005 Trunk Liftgate stuck
Here is the Short Story, if has not happen to you, coming soon!
My lift-gate is stuck in a semi-open position
When trying to open from the handle, you can hear a motor noise actuator trying, but nothing happens
Further investigation by popping the little plastic cap covering inner truck, reveals the motor keeps trying to pull on a lever, but nothing budges
First attempt I stuck a screw driver end on the lever and pushed and the liftgage opened. I thought that was the end of my problems and it was just a fluke.
NOP
Next day I try to open the liftgage again and bamp=, same issue. Now I'm thinking, okay, I will try the screw driver trick again.
NADA, NO DICE
Keep at it, different screw drivers, more torque,
NOP, its now stuck permanently
FYI, it has nothing to do with the fuses, because I checked them all already. This is a mechanical issue where the lock mechanism somehow gave out.
Now I'm STUCK LIKE CHUCK, half open liftgate, DASH beeping at you that your trunk is open.
I tried to take the TRIM pieces off and the lift-gate cover... NOT EASY when you cannot access the screws under the liftgate!
Anyone have any ideas. What would the dealer even do in this situation?
Only thing I can think of is, SAW OFF the lift-gate inner covers and trim to get to the mechanism and unlatch it somehow?!

OK, I understand, not everyone is a locksmith
Took it into a shop deep in Tijuana
Guy popped the trunk "SOME HOW" and then took the door panel off and repaired the mechanism. He was at it for a good hour.
Total cost $75

Well I looked and could not find any emergency release.
He took the lock mechanism out and repaired a part or piece inside which obviously was stuck or not letting go. The guy was a car locksmith, so this is all they do.
I have seen a few people have this problem, but not to my extent where you cannot open it even from the square plastic cap area on the liftgate inside.
