Any interest in rear "955", "957" and "958" badging?
Why let the 911 guys have all the fun??!!
If you're tired of the "Cayenne" badging on the back of your beast then perhaps some model number badging would be more to your liking? I've contacted a few foundries and requested pricing for metal numbers in the Porsche Font (either chrome plated or painted silver) for the backside of our Cayennes. I thought I'd gauge interest here before giving one of them the green light to make a limited number. I would prefer to make them out of metal (brass or zinc) so they can easily be painted if desired.
They'll be larger than the 911 numbers but not "cartoonish". Each number will be approximately 1.75" tall by 1.25" wide. For 955's and 957's I'm using the factory GTS badge as a size reference:
The numbers for 958's will be smaller in scale as the factory pieces are.
As far as pricing goes I anticipate they would be under $60 for a three number set. We would also be able to Cerakote or Paint them in factory matching colors if desired as we do with hood crests and wheel centers. Feedback is welcome as if there is little or no interest we won't move forward with these.
Cheers!

Yes, I would like a 957TT badge very much--I tried the other place Jager Engineering but they don't make the number 7--I'll buy one so long as it's silver--would suspect you'd be better off doing silver and black than silver and chrome--the black will look good on lighter colors and the silver on the darker colors. If possible, I think it would be cool to have "TT" be one continuous letter with the top of the Ts connected. I'm in whenever they are fabbed up.
I don't yet have my 957, but maybe this will be the omen that I need to find the right one Optimism!

I'll think about the "TT" designation in the future if these fare well. The 955 & 957 numbers will be scaled to fit well with the factory Cayenne "turbo" badge however

If someone with a 958 GTS could measure the size of the "GTS" lettering it would be helpful in sending out specs to a manufacturer. From what I've found online they the individual letters should be approximately .8 to .9 inches tall. Without skulking around a Porsche dealer with a micrometer however I'm unsure as to the width.

I have a 2012 958 CTT, with all 3 of the emblems on the back.
Interestingly, the measurements on my rear hatch lettering are:
"PORSCHE" is about 19 mm tall (approx. 3/4 inch)
"Cayenne Turbo" is about 15.5 mm tall (approx. .6 inch)
so it would seem for my vehicle, that any new badging back there at 1.75" tall x 1.25" wide, would be quite large (comparatively).
I would not be removing any of my existing "PORSCHE" "Cayenne Turbo" lettering since it is already centered just above the license plate shinedown cover.
But I might consider putting "958" down in the lower right hand corner of the hatch,... but not really if it is going to be that big. just my .02 observations upon measuring what exists already back there.
Great idea though!! And if I did partake in something like this, it would be black (since my CTT is white). I currently have my lettering Plastiwrapped in black.

I would have the "958" characters made smaller than the "955" and "957" pieces made smaller hence my inquiry two posts back. Thanks for confirming the height!
If anyone has a 958 GTS I need the width of the separate "GTS" letters in order to provide specs for price and production estimates.
