Headlight washer comes right out of the bumper!?!?

2 Attachment(s)
My driver's side headlight washer comes out of its housing with nothing keeping it from staying in. See pics. Can I fix this? This can't be normal. If I drive a bit fast, when I stop and go look at it, it is raised a little from the wind. It has never totally come out. Advice?

Probably broken. There should be a substantial amount of pressure holding it down. Likely needs replacing as I've never heard of someone fixing these things. That said, I've never heard of breaking, either.

Normally, these nozzles require a bit of force to remove them from their parked position. Have you had your front bumper re-painted where manipulation of these components would have been required by a body shop?

I suspect that either the nozzle itself is damaged or the carrier receptacle below may be missing some components. You should remove the RH side nozzle to compare with this one. Luckily, the nozzle is available as a separate component and does not require painting or special tools to replace.

No, I haven't. How do I just "remove" the nozzle? Thanks!

There are retaining tabs in the mechanism that raises that piece up. Its probably broken and you will have to remove the bumper to replace the whole assembly.

I don't know what year your car is >>>>>

I replaced a leaking washer assembly on our 06 Cs by removing the wheel and inner liner in my driveway.
If yours comes all the way off keep it inside the car until you replace the assembly.
You don't want to risk losing the painted cover, it does not come with the new unit

Can you give me any details on how to replace? I have an 08 GTS. Andy E sent me the manual (above), but if you have any pointers, that would be great!

sorry

I can't speak on how to for an 08 GTS
On my 06 CS I took off the Wheel and inner fender liner.
Looking forward there are a few brackets to remove to gain access to the washer unit.
Not hard but still a pain in the a$$
