What did you do with / to your Cayenne today?
Before posting this I did a thorough search of the forums to see if someone had already started a similar thread. A number of the other model specific forums have a similar thread and I've found it helpful for my 944 when considering mods, upgrades, tweaks, parts, maintenance etc. I couldn't find one for Cayenne owners so here we go!
So....here's what I did yesterday. Cut a piece of gloss black 3M 1080 series vinyl wrap and covered up the stainless "accent plate" on the top of the rear bumper cover. The piece is easy to cover while on the bumper and there's no need to remove it. It's approximately 41" long and 3" wide so I cut a piece of vinyl 44" x 4.5". This will give you enough extra so that you have some to grab while stretching etc. I didn't need a hair dryer to heat it while working around the curved edges. It would have been easier if I had removed the piece and recovered it but just thought I'd work with it on the car first. As it turned out it was a quick 30 minute job.

A similar thread already exists, but it has 'P!G' instead of 'Cayenne' in the title, which is why it didn't come up in your search (and it's understandable why you searched Cayenne instead of P!G).

We were too busy getting these produced and haven't had the time to install a set on our own Cayenne however I'm looking forward to accomplishing that this weekend:

That accent cover is actually a good trip, might do something like that myself. Ever since the chrome on plastic bit fell off.
Love the bike holder nrddct (where did you get it?)
Finally where can we get the badges from - I like those too.
Good thread this. Sadly little to contribute right now.

Spent 4 hours replacing the left fuel pump, fuel filter and both tank cap gaskets. Car runs great.
There were few things I noticed different between the previous write-up and my specific experience.
'09 Turbo
An additional panel for mounting the seat bottoms had to be removed - (6) 12mm triple-square bolts and then it folded up with the seat bottoms.
I didn't have to cut any carpet - the factory carpet was trimmed in such a manner that cutting carpet was um-necessary. The newer left pump has an elbow that is now a part of the new pump assembly - be sure to use it as it makes for an easier reinstall.
Based on previous reports - I ran the car down as far as I could - this makes the job much easier. Be sure to use tracer string to pull the fuel pump lines back from the driver's side back to the passenger side.

My wife and I are spending the weekend at our cabin in nothern PA. We went out for a bite to eat today and decided to take a drive on the state forest roads afterwards near the Pine Creek Gorge, aka the PA Grand Canyon. We encountered a young couple hiking the West Rim Trail, which is about 30 miles long. They had completed about 20 miles but had seriously miscalculated the hike and needed a ride back to their car as the young lady had foot problems. We obliged and had a nice chat with them on they way to their vehicle. Nothing like being shuttled in a Porsche!
