Thinking about picking this GTS up. Anyone have any input for me? I have never owned a Porsche but I have done tons of research (blah, blah, blah). Currently drive a lifted Jeep JK, but had a SC Range Rover before that. Although it is older the 957 GTS is one of my poster vehicles. I am just curious what any of you experienced Porsche guys may think? Appreciate the help!

I have consulted that and I am aware of all of the mechanical and general things to look out for. Just was curious if anyone had any comments on the particular GTS I posted the link to as far as price, mileage, and overall condition it appears to be in.

Looks pretty clean actually, especially the seats. 2008 had the old PCM navigation system and this one has some aftermarket fitted to it. If that is a pro or a con is up to you, but 2009-2010 had a drastically improved system. For that reason alone, I only searched for 2009+ when I bought my GTS 5 years ago. Price seems maybe a little bit high, I'm sure there is some haggle room there.

I paid $21,500 for my 08 GTS 2 1/2 years ago. It had 128k miles on it at the time, no PDCC or pano roof. It was super clean and paint almost perfect. This car looks nice (I don't care for the peanutbutter interior, but to each his own), but over priced by a couple $1000. If it cant be had for around $18k, might want to move on.

FYI. That car is also listed on Ebay for $19,997 with a make an offer

A quick look at Searchtempest, and there are a number of 08 GTS for between $11 and $20.

Good luck with your search.

Love it. Really no other way to say it. In theory, it would be nice to have the extra HP of a turbo or turbo S, but in reality, I have had few opportunity to use what I have. I have taken a couple 300+ mile trips, and it is comfortable and secure. I never worry about weather. If you haven't already, I highly recommend a Seicane android head unit. Once I did mine, I couldn't believe I put up with the PCM for as long as I did.

nice, glad to hear its been a good truck. I’m checking out that unit now. I can’t deal with not having bluetooth or a phone in the car even though I work from home.

I am in the market for a clean, under 100k miles, 2008 or newer V6 Cayenne with anything but a solid black interior. I am in Atlanta so would prefer to source somewhere in southeast or mid-atlantic if possible. Am fully up to speed on the ones currently listed on Autotrader, Cars.com, craigslist and eBay. Thanks!’

I'm selling my 2006 Cayenne Turbo: https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1141504

Price is very flexible for fellow Rennlisters - I should also note that in the last few days I've noticed that the cam valve gaskets are likely in need of replacement. Dealer quoted me $1,500 to fix, but will leave to next buyer's option if the as-is offer makes sense. Comes with two keys, dog + rear trunk cover, Sport Technos, OEM roof rails, NLA Llyods "Turbo" floor mats (and OEM mats). Just broke 197K problem free miles. Dealer serviced its whole life with receipts to match.

I wonder if they upgraded the brakes?
