Just came across this on Craig's List - looks nice - but no real knowledge of the car or the dealer: https://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/c...700120154.html - 2011 TwinTurbo.

I saw that one.

I've been looking at this one, thinking it's a good price but it's a bit under market value so I wonder if something is wrong with it. It's also on Ebay.

probably under market value because the reality of selling a vehicle private party is that most banks dont want to lend on a private sale and most buyers dont have cash. I would get a good ppi and go for it if it checks out!!

Good point, I am probably going to use USAA for the loan but if it being Private Party and I can't get them to loan money to me then I may need to stick to dealer/CPO

You gotta love the tags in that CL ad: "Bmw x5 benz awd truck audi lexus"

I hate when people do crap like that.

Also, 77k miles but "Mint condition." How is that possible?

At least you can buy with confidence knowing you've seen several pictures of the vehicle.... oh wait, there is only one. single. picture.

Looks like J2Superb has gone above and beyond with this ad!

lol yea. His Ebay ad actually has a ton more pictures but I wouldn't go off this ad alone. I think I may just stick to CPO for now, or to a major dealer.

Hey all, I’m a 911 997.2S guy. Recently started getting interested in the Cayenne and found this thread. Wife and I looking for a nice around town 955 or 957 below $20,000. Read all the “trouble” threads. I’m a half decent DIYer so not afraid of a bit of work. I’m subscribed here.

Well, OK then. This thread is worth watching. Do you have any specifics on what sort of Cayenne (year, engine, model) you might be interested in? If so - post it here and I'm sure people will provide links to ones they've seen for sale.

From the research I’ve done thus far, I’m interested in the 06 and up years. Turbo under 100,000 miles.

Have you driven a GTS? When I was shopping I thought the GTS was more appealing to me over a turbo but it depends what you're looking for.

This one just popped up here in MN:

Have not driven a GTS yet but my thought was a GTS would be out of my price range.

USAA will lend for private party as will most other banks. USAA uses their own valuation based on the vin and will loan up to 80% of that valuation. I used them for my purchase.

That one had a front end accident in December 2015, just so anyone who's considering it knows.
