I used gorilla glue too. I also sanded down the area where the pad contacts the seat back in order to remove any old adhesive. Been holding up fine in the Texas heat.

There is a certain line that can get crossed between an enthusiast helping out other enthusiasts and someone trying to make a profit off other enthusiasts. The latter is generally frowned upon by the forum owners - Internet Brands - unless they want to become a sponsor/advertiser here.

I'd suggest that offering to sell these mounts here might just cross that line.

Not necessarily so. Constant use is what makes them fail. When somebody is seated, it places undue stresses on the lower clips... which are already flimsy to begin with.

When mine came unglued, I just used 3M velcro command strips.

Haven't had any issues since.

Default Cayenne seat back panel

obviously this is not a one off. this is a recurring design problem faced by all cayenne owners, especially those in particularly warm climates. the fact that porsche has failed to step up is unfortunate. a seat back panel runs about $350 for something that wasn't well thought out and will in all likelihood fail again. just when i was thinking of looking at the new cayenne coups i've run into this problem with my GTS.

Default 09 Cayenne GTS front seat panel needs some luv

does anyone have a 3d printer that can make the bottom seat clips. my clips are completely gone so i can't even try to jb weld them in place. no idea what happened to them. was going to order a new panel but would prefer not to have to spend $350 when cosmetically it looks perfect.

Just one of the many cost saving decisions VAG made with our trucks This one is probably the easiest to fix out of them
