08 Cayenne Starting issue (video/audio)
Hi all,
I have a problem starting my 08 Cayenne. Battery was changed and I make sure the brake pedal is pressed hard. I also tried diff combinations of door closed, seat belt locked, pressing brake pedal, etc. (it was suggested in one of the posts). Nothing helps.
I created this video in winter and hoped the problem would go away when warmer outside but I am still experiencing the same.
Most of the time, the car will start between 2nd and 4th trial. Rarely will start 1st time, even if I had it running for 15 min. Sometimes I have to try several times (5+).
Most of the time, it's the issue that you see at the 12 and 37 sec
I almost never get an issue that you see at the 2 sec mark.
There, you can see that after I turned the ignition, the car didn't register it (I kind of don't want to focus on this issue since it really doesn't happen).
Any insights would be appreciated.

That's the TPMS not active.
That turns over way too slowly. You might want to go through the ground connections and the power connections before replacing the starter (It's under the intake manifold). If the battery is truly full and has capacity, it would turn over quicker.

connections are clean
Just checked the main connections and everything looks clean. Pics attached.
Is there a specific place I should look for?
Perhaps one way to test is the voltage the starter gets when trying to start it. Is there an easy way to do this? Any tricks?

69gaugeman, since everything was open, I proceeded to unscrew and put dielectric grease on main connectors. One screw was too easy so I had some hopes.
20 min later, I put everything together and still can't believe how quickly the car starts. So far so good but I will give it a couple more days.
Regardless, I owe you a beer(s) and a steak dinner. Let me know if you are coming to the GTA anytime soon.
