Congrats on your sharp looking CS !

What was the cause of the engine squeak that had you concerned?

Hi Rick, thanks!!

the noise did not come up when brought to mechanic, he did say that the vehicle had a complete detail including engine detail and I showed him the video and he said to me when servicing the vehicle he did not hear any signs of the noise either.

He mentioned that it is common when detailing the engines that chemicals used can cause certain parts of the belts to dry out and it takes a couple of times for the belts to loop around and rid of the noise. He also mentioned that because the sound on the video was intermittent that he wasn't too concerned..

If the noise comes up within the next 6 months I will address it again, hopefully with warranty. It is still on the back of my mind... my girlfriend says to try to enjoy the vehicle! She knows I have been putting a lot of thought behind this purchase and I have just been so worried about everything that I am forgetting to be excited to get the keys!

yea that would make sense if they detailed it, & sprayed some cleaner or detailer into the engine bay,... that would make that noise for a while,.. then go away.

Congrats John!! Definitely looks sweeeeet.

Very happy to hear you have joined the ranks. You're gonna love it. I'm betting a smile every time you jump in.

Very slick looking CS! Big plus-point for the blacked out exterior package.

My car came with the same rims as yours. Turned out to be a nightmare for me, as I love the 21" rim look but bought my CTT based on condition - not spec, and thought ok I will have to buy them second hand later. However, during the whole winter I have not seen a single set of original 21" wheels for sale in this small northern European ****hole I live in (new ones are like 50% of the cars value - so not an option).

Thanks!!

Wow I am in that dilemma too. I came from oem 20" rims on my previous vehicle. These 18" turbo wheels seem so tiny. I definitely want to get 20" or 21" for my vehicle. I'll try to sell my spare rims and be on the lookout for bigger rims. There are a few on Craigslist in my local area but I don't know if I want to dish out more money right now!

Good luck!!

Zonnie, Saw that you want to increase your rim width (up from the 18's),... yea, good oem rims are hard to find. You might want to consider checking these guys out....

That blacked out Sport Design rim in a 21" with summer rubber would look awwwwwwesome on your ride!!!

And I believe they sell used ones that are reconditioned, but also guaranteed.

Sure thing Zonnie, its the purpose of this forum to assist. But we can become overloaded with negative information.

Taken to extremes this may result in parking the Cayenne in a garage to admire, sit and listen to tunes. Occasionally rev the engine to hear the exhaust. Later check the oil and coolant then repeat the following day.

What could possibly break just doing that?
