Question Air springs life expectancy?

Hi all

What do you think would be expected life for the air springs before they will start leaking? Thinking about the rubber.

How long did your Cayenne drive before they had to be replaced?

I know how you drive it will have an affect on that, and also climate, temperature, humidity and so on. But I want an indication of this life expectancy. Wondering to replace them in advance and sell the original ones as spares. China sell cheap ones, not the same quality as originals but probably ok.

Thanks,
Norway.

Normally you just have to rebuild the compressor with an ebay seal kit. The cayenne air springs seem to hold up better than audi and mercedes in terms of longevity. If you go bouncing around offroad you of course blow something.

I had about 11 years and 130K miles on a 2004 Touareg with air- essentially the same system as I have on my current 2013 Cayenne diesel.

Never had a problem with either one in terms of the suspension (though the subsequent owner of the Treg snapped the rear swaybar somehow!).

My understanding is about 6-8 weeks after your warranty expires
