Something to think about...

If you end up doing the uppers and tie rods later you will have to get another alignment ($150+). You don't need an alignment after replacing sway bar end links or sway bar bushings (someone please correct me if I am wrong) so maybe substitute the sway bar stuff for uppers and do just the tie rod ends. It will cost a bit more now but will save $150+ in the long run for the extra alignment?

Unless you have a specific reason/need to replace the sway bar stuff now.

Good food for thought.
What are the symptoms of tired and worn tierods/ends? My steering doesnt have any slop. But i do get a clunk on bumps, a shimmy/shake at highway speeds, and much more wallowing and body roll on agressive cornering than bi-gone years. Maybe I should wait on tie rods until I can afford to get the big 265/65/18's bfg's put on. Honestly I would do EVERYTHING if I could afford it. Just trying to do what I can for now and If I have to eat another alignment so be it. There is a good shop in sac that has really good equipment and its less than $150.

955-347-031-50 Left Front Tie Rod - Turbo S
955-347-032-50 Right Front Tie Rod - Turbo S

They cost about $185 a side, but for me were well worth the upgrade. They are the complete tie rods.

Did you replace just the ends or the entire tie rod? Curious if Turbo S tie rod ends will work with Turbo tie rods.

Do most of you replace the hardware when replacing the control arms?

Yes. Porsche say's they are one time use stretch bolts. For the price, better to be safe than sorry. Especially when you are only talking about once in 10yrs or so, why save a few dollars.
