2011 Cayenne V6 used questions
Hey everyone,
a New member here, but active on plenty of other forum's. I did search, but there isn't to much info regarding a Cayenne as a used vehicle.
Long story short, I am looking for a fun, good handling, reliable SUV to replace my boring Tacoma. Something that must be able to go offroad.
I nearly bought a VW Touareg TDI, but found it a little bland. I ended up buying a 2013 Tacoma Limited, which works perfectly, but has no soul, no fun. As with all Toyota trucks it is bulletproof and goes anywhere. Mine has a slight lift and slightly larger tires.
I have raced Honda's all my life and recently sold a VW GLI because I don't have room for all my vehicles. (I currently have a work truck, Tacoma and a camping trailer).
I miss having a sporty vehicle, which is where the Porsche seems to fit in.
A quick engine (I know the V6 isn't fast, but I can't afford an S). Better gas mileage than the Taco. Ability to store my camping gear. Good off road (just limited clearance). Fantastic interior. Good suspension.
The only thing I have to question is Porsche's reliability. The vehicle I am looking at is a 2011 with 40,000km ( 23,000 miles) and is NOT CPO.
Here is a link to the Cayenne in question.

It seems to be a great deal compared to anything else locally (most in this price range have 70-100,000 km's).

I bought my 2009 cayenne base with 20k miles used and have been v happy with it. Here is what I have had to do as I now have 70k on mine. Tires and brakes as it is a v heavy car, drive train at 61k miles, oil, battery. other than the drive train and having to order a bit from amzon to remove the seat for the battery, I love my cayenne as a everyday car. When I purchased in 2011, there were not many around, but now there are quite a few in the area.

Love, love love my 2011 v6. I think they are pretty reliable from what I've seen. Don't seem to have a bunch of issues like the first gen. So far ours has been solid. Only Complaint is the exhaust sound. We had a 2005 v6 as well, was equally reliable but the new one is much quicker.
