Hello to all,

I have one problem with my 2008 Cayenne S.

My Diaphragm valve for crankcase ventilation has broken and I ordered new one for my car. Part arrived and I found out that this part doesn't fit to my Cayenne S because I found out that my Cayenne S has 4.5 membrane instead of 4.8 membrane. So owner before change it and didn't let me know. So now I have complete 4.5 setup in my car and new 4.8 membrane. How can I fit this 4.8 membrane to 4.5 housing/parts?

As I see it you have two options

You can either buy a 4.5 membrane and fit it to your 4.5 conversion

Or

Change all the parts back to the 4.8 setup (as per OEM) and fit your (correct) 4.8 membrane

I have one option. I now have 4.5 diaphragm and bought 4.8 wich I know it is OEM for my car. Because my car has 4.8L engine. But as you can read from above it has 4.5 diaphragm. So can I fit this 4.8 diaphragm to 4.5 housing and metal spring? Thank you

I don't know what the differences are, and you don't indicate where you are, but just order the 4.5 membrane. How much did you pay and where did you purchase it?

Also you can see on this site difference between 4.5 and 4.8... On 4.5 there is plastic part that holds ruber membrane via steal spring and on 4.8 there is no plastic membrane.... Now when part arrived I see I have old membrane installed instead of 4.8 membrane. My question is what should I do and how to apply it?

But as you can see it is for the 4.5L engine...

This part I ordered along side with whole plastic part that sits in it because housing is cracked also...So now I have whole left plastic cover incl. rubber membrane which is this part...

So you can see that it is not the same...

How can I install this 4.8 membrane with this 4.5L plastic holder of membrane?

I`m gonna say you can't as they are incompatible and refer back to my earlier answer

I couldn't see the pictures for the part in the second link but from your description this is my guess

Those pictures don't help at all. Just shows two orange membranes. Can you take pictures of YOUR car and the parts?
