^^^325k miles?!. This makes me happy. In my mind the only suitable replacement for my 04 tt would be a newer one. However, being the monetary value of my 150k mile 04 is so little, I will have a hard time ever justify selling it.

Even after years, I still look forward to getting in it to commute to work. This has never happened before; my track record is getting bored with a car after a year, 2 tops.

Thanks for the info. Great to hear she's doing well for you. What area of the country do you live in.. warmer climate or are you dealing with freezing conditions, snow, salt, etc.. Thanks!

Maintenance on this one, it's an early 2004 Beta vehicle, delivered in April 2003, has not been too bad. Typical coolant tubes, one computer for the air suspension, alternator, one radiator, one secondary air motor, gaskets, seals, etc for minor oil leaks. It does receive regular maintenance. I have a CEL code that leads to an O2 sensor that needs attention, radio will not fire up and the air suspension works fine but also throws a code, believe the compressor needs to be replaced.

I would not classify this car as a show car by any stretch of the imagination, it's a family car that gets used for hauling kids, horse equipment, etc. We bought it to use it and have done so.

It has left us stranded only 1-2 times - once for air suspension, once for coolant tubes that failed.

We love it, it still runs as strong as day one.

T2 - continues to knock on wood!!
I believe that you have about 430k on a 996t too?

Awesome! That is a real testament to Porsche engineering (and your maintenance skills!)

Cheers,

I am at 77k in my 04 Turbo. At this rate, I can get three more decades out of it.

Also, you have 400k+ 996TT. You should aim for combined 1M miles!

So T2, just curious what all crept up as issues in the 100-200k mile realm?

ICSPres,

Coolant pipes went before 100k from what I recall, some minor oil leaks and minor coolant leaks, condenser for the AC actually at 219,000+, rear hatch struts, transmission/front and rear diffs/transfer case fluid/filter service, air suspension computer had to be replaced, cardan shaft, water pump, regular service items, oil changes, tires, brakes.

To me 95% of the items are normal wear service items, we drive our vehicles, they get used and in some cases used alot. The Cayenne is primarily the family go getter, back and forth to the barn with the horse gear loaded in it a lot of the time. Again it gets used, things wear out and we fix them. At the end of the day I bought it to drive it, it still runs and feels like a 95k SUV, it's not perfect like a brand new one but find me any manufacturers vehicle out there with this mileage that is still as strong and fun to drive as this one.

The cost of ownership of this vehicle for the mileage and reliability has been amazingly inexpensive.

T2.......knocking on wood!!

I have about 109,000 miles now. 2006 S. Changed the transmission fluid and gasket and torque convertor seal. The pipes were done before I got it. Now changing the differential fluids this week and also the spark plugs. Now if the coils are cracked I will change them too.
Minor issues like the passenger side mirror became unglued. The memory seat's memory does not seem to accept new memory settings. The rear door does not open from the key fob and has to unlock the whole car before it can be opened.
